Before Starting

It was two days before Christmas Eve 2021, in southern Minas Gerais, at my uncle’s ranch, sitting in front of the computer. I had decided that I would become a writer months earlier; however, it was just imagination. Only at that moment did I decide to write something. The wind was blowing, the vegetation was swaying, and nothing was passing through my mind.

My ego was so high that I thought anything I wrote would make the list of Amazon’s bestsellers. I mirrored the success of Paulo Coelho, though I am not him, but Misael.

In a world where social media dominates and short videos too, what is the point of living as a writer if few people read books? If they read, you can bet they are erotic books that generate instant pleasure. The best-selling books on Amazon follow this trend.

What content to write? Fiction or non-fiction? I opted for the latter. Once, I heard an entrepreneur say that to make a living on the internet, you have to talk about money or sex. I wished he was wrong, but he wasn’t.

That’s how The Power of NoFap was born, there in southern Minas Gerais. Since then, it has crossed the world with readers everywhere: Brazil, the United States, the United Kingdom, Malaysia, India, Japan, Greece, the Netherlands, Canada, Australia, Norway, Switzerland, France, Turkey, Ukraine, the Philippines, Italy, and Germany.

All this, alone, without any editor or publishing house. When you want something, just do it, even if the path to your goal is horrible, agonizing, and dreadful, just do it. I count on you to share this story. The greatest power anyone has is to share a story.
